Yoga and Meditation for Stress Relief

I learned about meditation as a child, I learned about yoga as a child.  I didn’t do much with them in those early years, but come my late teens, early 20s I was on a spiritual journey that has lasted to this day.

There has been a lot of research and articles about the benefits of yoga and meditation, Jon Kabbat-Zinn was a pioneer in researching yoga and meditation, as well as Deepak Chopra.  I haven’t studied with them personally, but I remember hearing about them, reading their books and feeling validated in my experience.  Yoga and meditation helped me to manage stress, therefore pain. Pema Chodron and Thick Nat Han were great teachers for me. You can find their books here.

Because of my experience with yoga and meditation and the value I found, I became a yoga teacher, energy worker, massage therapist, vibration meditation facilitator.  The healing work that I have done on myself helps me in all areas of my life.  I encourage you to find those tools that work for you.
